Growing up on the edge of a large agricultural town and spending most of my childhood playing in the neighbouring fields, trees and for miles along the nearby riverbank gave me a deep appreciation for nature. In recent years my relationship with nature has developed in extraordinary ways.

 

Another early inspiration was the gift of two books from two friends in my early twenties. One was 'Love, Medicine & Miracles, by Bernie Siegel M.D.' and the other was 'The Way Less Travelled, by M. Scott Peck' I was deeply influenced by both of them and it was an insight into a new, interesting and exciting world that I wanted to be part of.

I studied to be a draftsperson in Limerick initially and from there worked in the electronics industry. Four years in Limerick and 7 in Youghal, Co. Cork. I did a yoga teachers course during the last two years in Cork and then took a career break. I went walking across the Pyrenees Mountain Range for 7 weeks and on my return to Ireland, I did a massage therapy course, dip. in health and fitness and a years voluntary work with the Jesuit Volunteer Community  which brought me to Galway where I worked with the Neighbourhood Youth Project.

 

Then I  worked in a children's home in Dublin and after a year I set up a massage therapy practice.

I had maintained a dream diary for years and still do. It was around this time that a recurring dream / nightmare led to a major healing in my life. As a result of this, my outlook on life changed and from an empowered viewpoint I surrendered more to life, was more grateful, open minded and able to observe the beauty and synchronicity of it all. I returned to Galway in the mid nineties where I worked in Electronics again, settled down and had 2 children.

Around 2010 I attended devotional sound/chanting classes over a two year period with a local teacher who had studied with Chloe Goodchild -Singing Philosopher, Author & Vocalist.

From there I joined a healing circle  for about 4 years  (Bio-Energy, Ancestral & Cellular Memory Healing, Stress Management, IET and Sacred Site Tours) facilitated by Mary O'Halloran.

I've attended many courses and teachings over varying lengths of time including the very enjoyable Tribal Spirit Drumming movement created by community musician John Bowker, Reiki, Rahanni and more recently 'Sacred Dance' with Jos Galdermans (A personal practice, done alone or in a group, to facilitate spiritual and personal growth) 

​

I did my Dream Teacher training, Level one with Robert Moss in  2017,

A 2 year Spiritual Development and Ministry Training with the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation in London, and was ordained in 2019

And a twelve-day Sacred Passage with John Milton in Arizona in 2019

​

I completed a  Visionary Shamanism Practitioner 3 year program and

a teaching certificate for drumming circle and visionary shamanic foundation courses

with Carol Day, The Centre for Creative Vision from which I graduated in 2021

This was the training that brought all the strands together and provides me with a framework that I am very happy to bring to others.
